Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the NoteLockr mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

NoteLockr is an offline, privacy-focused note-taking application that provides:

• Rich text note creation and editing
• Note organization with categories and tags
• Local encryption for sensitive notes
• Import/export functionality for data portability
• Completely offline operation with no cloud synchronization

License to Use

Grant of License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use NoteLockr for personal use on your devices.

License Restrictions

You may NOT:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works
• Use the App for commercial purposes without authorization
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices
• Use the App in violation of applicable laws

User Responsibilities

Acceptable Use

You agree to use NoteLockr only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are prohibited from:

• Using the App to store illegal content
• Creating notes that violate intellectual property rights
• Storing harmful, threatening, or defamatory content
• Using the App to plan or commit illegal activities

Data Security

While NoteLockr operates entirely offline, you are responsible for:

• Securing your device with appropriate locks/passwords
• Using strong passwords for note encryption features
• Creating backups of important data using export features
• Protecting your device from malware and unauthorized access

Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all notes and content you create in NoteLockr. We do not claim any ownership rights to your content.

App Availability and Updates

Service Availability

NoteLockr is provided "as-is" without guarantees of uninterrupted operation. We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue the App with or without notice
• Release updates and new versions
• Change features or functionality

Updates

We may provide updates to improve functionality, security, or compatibility. You are responsible for installing updates to ensure optimal performance and security.

Limitation of Liability

Disclaimer of Warranties

NoteLockr is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy, reliability, or availability
• Freedom from errors, viruses, or harmful components

Limitation of Damages

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
• Device damage or data corruption
• Third-party claims or actions

Data and Privacy

Offline Operation

NoteLockr operates entirely offline. Your data:

• Remains on your device at all times
• Is never transmitted to external servers
• Is never shared with third parties
• Is under your complete control

Data Loss

You acknowledge that:

• We cannot recover lost or deleted data
• Device failure may result in data loss
• Regular backups using export features are recommended
• Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all data

Intellectual Property

App Ownership

NoteLockr, including its design, functionality, and code, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.

Third-Party Components

The App may include third-party open-source components licensed under their respective terms.

User Content

You retain rights to your notes and content. By using export features, you can access your content in standard formats.

Termination

Termination by You

You may stop using NoteLockr at any time by uninstalling the App from your device.

Termination by Us

We may terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms, though enforcement is limited given the App's offline nature.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your license to use the App ends
• You should uninstall the App from all devices
• These Terms remain in effect for applicable provisions

Legal Compliance

Age Restrictions

NoteLockr is suitable for all ages. Users under 13 should obtain parental consent before use.

International Use

You are responsible for compliance with local laws when using NoteLockr internationally.

Export Controls

The App may be subject to export control laws. You agree not to export or re-export the App in violation of such laws.
